The 2023 GMC Sierra features a more expansive, bolder bumper and new grille design. GMC has also revised the daytime running lamps, which are wider in appearance.
The Denali trim, known for its spacious and luxurious cabin, features a Bose Premium Sound System with a woofer as well as “supercruise” hands-free driver assistance technology.
The off-road-focused AT4 gets an upgrade in the form of an AT4X AEV Edition package, which gives the AT4 gloss black 18-inch wheels with 33-inch Goodyear tires. And there is an elevation premium package available for the Elevation trim, which offers heated front leather seats.
Engine Specs & Fuel Economy
This truck's combined fuel economy is very competitive compared with other vehicles in its category at 13.1L/100KM for city driving and 11.6L/100KM on the highway (based on the Elevation trim crew cab 4WD with a 2.7L turbo engine).
There are four engine options depending on the trim you select -- the 2.7L Turbo High-Output, which is standard on the Elevation, the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, the 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, and the 3.0L Duramax Turbo diesel. These options can be configured with either an 8-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Sierra also has a towing capacity of 4,037 kg and a payload capacity of 1,016 kg.
Infotainment & Technology
The Sierra has a 13.4-inch infotainment system, which is compatible with Google and has Wi-Fi available, too. The 12.3-inch driver information centre has stellar graphics and is standard on all trims, and there are USB ports throughout the cabin along with two 120-volt power outlets. Wireless charging and wireless phone projection are available, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

The 2023 Sierra 1500 will be available in eight trim options. The SLE starts at $61,653 while the Elevation starts at $64,853 and the Pro at $54,003. All three of these trims come standard with the 2.7L turbo engine. The SLT and the Denali feature the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine, starting price for the SLT is $69,753 while the luxurious Denali is $83,203. There are two off-road options with the AT4 and AT4X, the AT4 will cost $78,653 and the AT4X $96,603. Topping the line - up is the Denali Ultimate at $96,828
