2026 Envista: Upgrades, Performance, Technology & Safety Features!

Myers Kanata is excited to introduce the 2026 Buick Envista, arriving with fresh design touches, upgraded tech, and enhanced comfort. For the 2026 model year, Envista sees a new Limited Edition package on the Sport Touring (ST) trim that brings unique styling and feature additions. This includes a new exterior paint called White Sands, upgraded 19-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, Ebony interior seats with Whisper Beige stitching, heated driver and front passenger seats, heated steering wheel, and a power liftgate, among other enhancements. These add more premium feel compared to 2025. Mechanically, the core remains similar: the 1.2-litre turbocharged engine continues, with front-wheel drive across all trims. The updates are mainly in aesthetics, convenience, and optional extras for 2026.

Infotainment & Technology Features

Infotainment is more refined this year. The 2026 Envista features an ultrawide 11-inch HD infotainment touchscreen paired with a reconfigurable 8.0-inch Driver Information Centre that displays key driving info. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are available, allowing seamless smartphone integration. On Sport Touring and Avenir trims, there are also tech conveniences like wireless charging and a power liftgate. In the Limited Edition ST package, you get extra touches that make life easier, especially in Ontario winters where remote functions matter.

Exterior Design Enhancements

Exterior Design Enhancements

Visually, the 2026 Envista brings upgrades that sharpen its presence. The Sport Touring trim gets gloss black mesh grille, gloss black mirror caps, black bodyside mouldings, and darker front/rear fascias. The Avenir trim adds a Black Ice chrome grille, more premium 19-inch Pearl Nickel wheels, and premium finishing touches. The Limited Edition package for ST introduces White Sands paint (exclusive), gloss black wheels, and contrast interior stitching, which enhance both curb appeal and perceived luxury. These changes add more personality and style compared to last year.

Interior Comfort & Cargo Space

Interior Comfort & Cargo Space

Inside, the Envista continues to seat five passengers with cloth with leatherette seating in lower trims, and in higher trims (Avenir, Limited Edition) upgraded leather-appointed perforated front seats, heated front seats, and a heated, wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. Cargo space behind rear seats remains strong for this class—Envista offers around 1,189 litres behind the rear seats. The addition of a power liftgate on higher trims adds convenience, especially when loading groceries or gear in winter. High-quality materials and ambient lighting make the cabin more comfortable in cold weather.

Engine & Performance Features

Under the hood, the 2026 Envista retains the 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder ECOTEC engine that is standard across all trims. It produces about 137 horsepower, which is modest but optimized for fuel economy and everyday driving rather than raw power. Efficiency is a highlight: Envista delivers around 8.4 L/100 km city / 7.4 L/100 km highway in FWD configuration. Because Envista is front-wheel drive only, available winter tires and careful driving are especially important in slippery conditions. For many drivers in Ontario, the balance of fuel savings, daily performance, and updated features makes this a compelling compact crossover.

Safety & Driver-Assistance Features

Buick has packed Envista with a safety suite designed for peace of mind. Standard safety equipment includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane-Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control on higher trims. Rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated mirrors (on select trims and in the Limited Edition), and improved lighting help visibility during snowstorms and winter nights. The packages like Advanced Safety on the Sport Touring trim bring in more driver-assist features, which is especially helpful in variable Ontario weather.

Awards & Recognition

The Buick Envista has been recognized as a standout in the compact SUV segment. Among its accolades, it has earned strong safety recognitions, with its driver-confidence features being highlighted by experts. While Buick Envista is relatively new, it has already been noted for value, design, and family-friendly comfort in reviews from 2023 to 2025. These honors reflect Envista’s commitment to providing an up-to-date, stylish, and functional crossover for many buyers.
